Terms of service

What Klippt is

Klippt is appointment-booking software for boutique barbers and salons. By creating an account or otherwise using Klippt you agree to these terms.

Eligibility

You need to be 18 or over and operating a legitimate business to open a shop account. Klippt is intended for use by independent barbershops and salons; we may decline service to anyone for any reason.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your sign-in email secure and for everything that happens under your account. If you think your account has been accessed by someone else, tell us straight away.

The owner of a shop account is the data controller for the customer information held under that account. Klippt is the processor and handles that data according to our privacy policy.

Free beta and plan limits

Klippt is free during beta. The current free-tier limits are 2 active staff members, 3 active services, and 25 outgoing emails per shop per hour. We may change these limits with reasonable notice; you'll see any changes on this page and in-app.

When we introduce paid plans, you'll be told about them by email and on the back office before you're charged anything.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Klippt to spam, harass, or defraud anyone
  • Use Klippt for any illegal business activity
  • Impersonate another shop or person, or attempt to access another shop's data
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to disrupt the service
  • Resell Klippt to other businesses, or build a competing service on top of it

We can suspend or close any account that breaks these rules.

Service availability

We work hard to keep Klippt running, but during beta there is no formal uptime guarantee. We may carry out maintenance that takes the service offline temporarily, and we'll do our best to give notice when planned.

Intellectual property

Klippt — the platform, brand, design, and code — belongs to us. Your shop's content (logos, descriptions, customer records, etc.) belongs to you. We use what you upload only to run the service for you.

Ending your account

You can close your account at any time by emailing hello@klippt.uk. We'll delete your shop's data within 30 days, other than anything we're required to keep by law.

We can close your account, with notice where reasonable, if you break these terms, if the account is dormant, or if we discontinue the service.

Liability

Klippt is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by UK law, our total liability for any claim relating to Klippt is limited to the amount you've paid us in the previous 12 months (which is zero during the free beta).

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that can't be limited under UK law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Changes to these terms

We'll post any changes here and update the “Last updated” date. If we change anything important, we'll email shop owners with at least two weeks' notice. Continuing to use Klippt after a change means you accept the new terms.
